I absolutely adored my stay at Sayura Beach Hotel. The location directly on Dalawella beach allowed for breathtaking ocean views and incredible swimming with the colorful fish and turtles right off the shore. The breakfast options were plentiful and pleasing to the eye. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making me feel warmly welcomed throughout my visit.
Lack of proper maintenance.

The communal areas need a lot of love and maintenance. for instance, dusty ledges in the stairwell and dead plants in the corridors can give off a neglected vibe. the breakfast selection is limited, and it feels a bit off to charge extra for decent coffee when you're already paying over $120 a night. The hotel seems to be in need of investment, as the facilities show signs of age, and it's disheartening to witness such potential being underutilized.

Right by the beach!
The location is just stunning, with ocean views from every room. I loved chilling on the beach loungers, watching the turtles swim by. Breakfast was decent and the staff were super friendly. Just watch out for noisy waves, they can be a bit much sometimes. Plus, more sun loungers would be nice.

Amazing stay with a view!
We stayed for just one night and loved it! The view from our big balcony was to die for. Breakfast had these awesome and fresh smoothies that were perfect after a long day in the sun. The only bummer was the pool being a bit cold, but seriously, who cares with the beach so close? Totally recommend coming here!

comfortable stay but some maintenance needed
The hotel offered a quiet location with a shaded beach area, which was perfect for relaxation. I appreciated the spacious room that featured two air conditioning units, allowing me to adjust to my comfort needs quickly. The excellent water pressure in the shower provided a refreshing experience after a day of exploring. I loved the ocean view from my room. watching the turtles swimming by was a delightful touch.
The broken chair in the room could have detracted from the overall experience.

great location but some room for improvement
The owners were remarkably attentive, always ready to assist with any request. I appreciated the generous breakfast options, which included very nice Sri Lankan food that I enjoyed every morning. The ocean view from my room was spectacular, allowing me to see turtles swimming just outside my window.
The room could have used more attention to detail in terms of cleanliness.

The Ocean View Deluxe room was spacious and had an amazing view of the beach. The bed was super comfy, perfect for relaxation. one of the chairs was broken, which was kind of a bummer. The bathroom was great with excellent water pressure and a nice shower. I got a bit frustrated with the AC shutting off unexpectedly, but the staff fixed it quickly. a pleasant stay despite a few minor issues.
